Plunge Cafe

There's good coffee and then there's GREAT COFFEE! I drink a lot of coffee and I have to say that Plunge Cafe in Summer Hill probably serves one of the best coffees out there.

This was my first visit to Plunge and I was super impressed by the coffee and the delicious breakfast. Prices were around the $15-$20 mark per dish so it was quite reasonable for the generous servings. Service was friendly and it just felt like a really lovely cozy cafe.

Perfect cup of cappuccino. Beans from Coffee Alchemy roasters.

Zucchini fritters, red capsicum and perfectly poached eggs. The fritters were crispy and light. Lovely subtle flavours. A great vegetarian option. Meat eaters would enjoy this too.
Scrambled eggs with beef sausage, toast and a side of brussel sprout and potato hash browns. Never had brussel sprouts in a hash brown but I have to say this is a genius way to get people to start eating B-sprouts. It was yummy!
Baked eggs with sucuck sausage, dukkhah and tomato. I loved this. Dipping the bread into that tasty sauce was heaven. It's a rather exotic breakfast dish, definitely not the average baked eggs breakfast. The serving was generous and I think it can be shared by 2 people if you order extra slices of toast to dip.
